Co-Parent App Frequently Asked Questions

You may securely store all relevant documentation regarding your child’s wellbeing. For example School report, immunisation cards, medical aid details, parenting plan agreement.

1. From your homepage select the “+” icon and select if you would like to add a moment or check-in your location
2. In the add item it should read moment / photo, not journal
3. If you hit the back button, if you change your mind about adding the photo or event, it sends you out of the app all together.

1. Open the payment request and select “confirm reimbursed”
2. Payments to your co-parent may be done via EFT or cash
3. You may send a proof of payment to your co-parent to keep an accurate record of payments via the app

1. Your co-parent will receive a notification of the payment request. Once the notification is opened it will be marked as read.

1. On the payment request loading page, select a percentage for reimbursement or add a fixed amount.

3. You have the option to load a photo from your gallery or take a photo of your invoice or receipt

1. In order to improve communication between co-parents, the language filter will indicate the possible emotional undertone of a message before it is sent.
2. Messages are flagged red that may be received as offensive.
3. You may change the wording of your sentence before sending, in order to avoid possible conflict.

1. The app will send you a pop-up notification when a message is received from your co-parent.
2. Select the notification. It will open the app on the conversation page, thereby notifying your co-parent that the message has been received.

No. Each co-parent is linked to your profile and to their biological child or children selected for communication and all other aspects of the app. The co-parent not linked to a specific biological child does not have access to information and arrangements for a child loaded on the app, that he/ she has no parental rights and responsibilities towards.

For security reasons a conversation may not be downloaded directly off the app. Please contact support@coparent.co.za to apply for the transcript.

Parents may opt to make use of a professional to oversee their communication. The professional must be granted access to the client profile by both parents. The approved professional may also assist with updating the shared calendar schedule, to be downloaded onto their app. The professional is not able to delete any case content.

Transcripts of the conversation may be requested by mutual consent of the parents or by court order. Please contact admin@coparent.co.za for the application form for the required transcript, or to submit the court order.

Co-Parent is a secure platform enabling secure communication between parents. Messages once sent, are not able to be deleted, thereby keeping an accurate, confidential record of the conversation.
